Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on various mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and structural systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and other routine checks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Inspections:
- Conduct thorough inspections on equipment and supplies, including structural and roof inspections, to ensure everything is operating effectively and safely.
Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as spills or breakdowns, and perform clean-up and repair tasks as needed.
Documentation:
- Prepare detailed reports, work orders, and maintenance logs, ensuring accurate records are maintained for all tasks performed.
Training:
- Assist in training and mentoring junior maintenance staff, sharing knowledge and techniques to enhance their skills.
Communication:
- Communicate with staff and the public to provide necessary information, explain activities and policies, and address concerns or questions.
Technical Skills:
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment related to mechanical, electrical, or structural maintenance, ensuring all systems function correctly.
Soft Skills:
- Demonstrate effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in a variety of situations.
Working Environment:
- The job may involve working in challenging environments with exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, solvents, gases, and varying temperature conditions.
- Physical demands include the ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, and twist for extended periods.
